In the third bearcast of today's trilogy celebrating Independence Day I look at stocks or rather at two sectors - gold miners and house builders. One is soaring the other tanking. Is this all Brexit related? Or any of it? Could both trends accelerate? I focus on the house builders and explain exactly how bubbles collapse and this is a bubble. But do not blame Brexit for the collapse. All bubbles have to implode in the end.

There are three bearcasts today on Independence day. The first looks at how the little people, the have nots told the elite where to stick it. This could start a trend across the EU for we plebs in the UK have more in common with the plebs of France or Holland than with our own elite of media, business, political, artistic, academic and bankster interests. The same is true across the channel. I discuss why the mood is so angry and after 41 years this is family business finished and I celebrate.

The celebrities lined up in their droves for Remain yet today we celebrate Independence Day in Britain. Does anyone care what David Beckham, Posh Spice, Keira ffing Knightley or Daniel Craig think about the EU? I suspect not. Indeed some celebrity interventions were clearly unhelpful but celebs like Sir Bob Geldof are so utterly convinced of their own self importance they just don't get it. I discuss this all in a bonus podcast. Of course one celeb, pictured below, swayed tens of thousands of votes.

last night I met an amazing woman here in Kambos. More on that later but I am in awe. Then it was watching the Brexit results on the BBC on the internet as the smug biased lefties had to come to terms with how the great unwashed had given them and the rest of the elite a total kicking. I tried to get two hours sleep but a drunk comrade from the Eurosceptic trenches, Lucian Miers, woke me up. So I worked a bit and then slept. By 2.30 PM it was ouzo o'clock. So I headed to Miranda's as you can see below and raised a class to Boris, Priti, Nigel, Michael et al but also to my late grandfather Sir John Winnifrith and my Uncle, Chris Booker, who was in a fine mood today. Cheers to you all.

Happy Independence day to our American listeners. My prayers are that tomorrow Greece votes for freedom and votes Oxi! But will it? And what does that mean for the Euro and shares. I note Goldman Sachs claims that a Nai vote will see global equities rise by 10%. Hmmm, I think it misses the bear in the China shop. A few thoughts brought to you from Athens in today's podcast.

I am a big fan of the USA. I love visiting friends in New York. I believe that over the past 50 years she has acted generally as a force for good (a few recent illegal wars notwithstanding) in fighting the cold war and acting as a responsible global military and economic policeman.
The principles behind the US Declaration of Independence and Constitution are generally inspiring. And so congratulations to, Britain’s friend, the US on her Independence Day celebrations. But on this day I can also reflect on the 10 Americans I am most glad do not potentially reside in the UK as a result of the divorce of 1776. Sadly bankster Bob Diamond cannot make the list as he is already over here. In no particular order.
